Nickname: The Orient Express

Winner of 10 WSOP bracelets, Johnny Chan was born in Hong Kong, moving with his family to Phoenix, AZ in 1968. The Chan family was in the restaurant business and expected young Johnny to follow that career path. Instead, poker took hold of his life in the 1980's and he went on to become one of the best poker players in the world.

Johnny Chan has also been seen on the big screen, playing himself in the movie Rounders. In 2002 he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.
